Wubi Review. How do you get Linux and Windows together, and working together.

There is an interesting new program out there that lets you have two operating systems at once. It isn’t a virtual machine either. It is called Wubi, and i have now been using it for the last day or so. What it basically does is push over your current operating system on your hard-drive and installs Linux into a folder, and yes you may un-install it at a later date using windows add/remove hardware.
What you do is install the program then reboot your computer. Once your computer is restarted a screen will pop up asking you if you want to start with Microsoft Windows Vista or start up With Wubi Ubuntu Linux. This essentially gives you the choice of choosing one of two operating systems. You of course will probably choose Linux as you are probably itching to see what will happen. Well I’m sorry to say nothing happens at first. It takes about 35 minutes to start up for the first time as it is installing all of the components to Ubuntu. After that the screen will pop up asking you to sign in with the information you should have provided before installing. If not you are going to have to un-install it then re-install it. Then it is going to ask you to install a couple hundred updates which will most likely take another 3o minutes to do. After that you get started in what you intended to do with the product.
Now on with the review part.
I think the installation was very smooth but very slow. Make sure you have dedicated at least 2 maybe 3 hours to downloading and installing the product (Wubi). Also make sure you fill out all required spaces that are requested by the installer truthfully, or it will not work.
The actual use of the program is very easy. When you restart your computer it basically asks you if you want to use Windows or use Ubuntu. After that it basically starts up like any other ordinary day. The only downside is that to switch to the other operating system you must restart your computer.
As i said…. It is composed basically of two operating systems working side by side. All you have to do is take the time to see what is going on and that your read all instructions and prompts carefully, and thoroughly. This is a great product and for a rate i would rate it 4 out of 5 just due to the fact that you have to restart your computer to switch to the other operating system. It is also very easy to find. I don’t have the website on hand but all you need to do is search WUBI in the Google search engine. This is a great product for people maybe just want to try linux out and knowing that if they don’t like it all they have to do is un-install it from their computer.
