What To Expect From The Last Macworld
As most of you heard before Christmas the Macworld expo is on it’s final legs. The huge event is known around the world as the time that Apple speaks about the latest and greatest in their technology. The rumors of the shut down first became more true when it was announced that Steve Jobs won’t be doing the keynote for the company. Instead Phil Shiller will be taking his place as the Apple representative during the keynote. The trade show is one of the largest in the world and has attracted media from all over the world. All of this hype over this final expo raises the question of what we should expect from this extravaganza. Will Apple release any major products or developments?
There has been a rumor floating around as of late that Apple might introduce an Iphone Nano which in my opinion doesn’t sound right. However technology influence’s like John C Dvorak who spoke on TWiT today thinks that it may happen. But can they make this breakthrough product even more smaller? I personally don’t believe that such a thing will happen but the rumors are floating around and becoming even more powerful then previously assumed..
There have also been rumors of a new Mac Mini hitting the market. The previous ones haven’t exactly been useful and i believe that if this rumor is true it’s definitely well needed. TUAW says that there will be two major changes:
First, the internal optical drive is changing to a SATA optical drive that can be swapped out for a second SATA hard drive, probably as a build-to-order (BTO) option.
The second detail is that the new Mac mini won’t be
topped with white plastic like the current model seen above; instead, it will follow Apple’s new design meme by using black plastic and aluminum. No more smooth sides, either — the new mini has a “lip” similar to the Time Capsule.
There are also rumors of change coming to iWork, Macbooks, imovie, and much more. These are just some of the new products and changes that are expected to hit the market sometime after the Macworld Expo. Below i’ve also found some pictures of the setup from the event thanks to setteb.it:
