How to Create A Social Network For Free!

We have all heard of the big name social networks such as Myspace, Facebook, and all the rest of them. But i bet you’ve never heard that you can build your very own for free. Using the power of Ning.com you can customize your very own social network and use it to bring communities, groups, and friends together in one place.

All you have to do is sign up, and create a social network by entering the name and web address you would like to use. If you need to use your own domain you must pay a fee along with various other features. After that it’s easy as drag and drop, literally. When building the network you have three colums in which you can drop various additions to your social network including photo’s, forum’s, groups, videos, blogs, and much more. However they do have limitations on how much can be uploaded to their servers. For example: I believe that you’re only allowed to have 500 pictures in total on your network unless you pay a fee.

Ning also allows you to customize how your social network looks, and feels. You can edit the header, information, and even the CSS. People have also gone as far as making Ning their own by paying extra fee’s so they can make the social network a part of their community. An example of this would be Chris’s social network.

Ning is becoming very popular, so you may be interested in starting your own Social Network before names start running out. If you would like to join our social network you can do so by clicking here. If you have your own social network using the ning platform i would be happy to join. Feel free to post your link to your social network below.

How to get free webhosting!

A couple of days ago i came accross a free hosting website called 000hosting, and assumed it was going to be one of those spammy crap web hosts. Therefore i neglected it and moved on. The next day (yesterday) i came across it again. This time i thought “Why not try it?”. So i did and i was to my delight presently surprised. Most of the features that came with the account are features you would expect to find on a major web hosting companies plan.

Here are a few of the features this free web hosting comes with.

  • Disk space of 250 Megabytes
  • 100 Gigabytes of Bandwidth
  • Unlimited domains allowed
  • A pretty good control panel
  • No company advertising
  • The ability to ad your own ads
  • Website Builder
  • PHP Scripts auto installer
  • Unrestricted PHP Support
  • My SQL Database
  • Instant backups
  • FTP Support
  • Web file managing
  • 99.9 percent up time
  • Instant activation
  • Email including Pop 3 accounts, Web mail, Auto responders, Spam Protection, Mail forwarding, Imap Support, Modify MX Entry.

Free Web Hosting with Website Builder
Again this is surprising to find throughout the internet. New up and coming websites are being displayed using 000’s servers including Xurba, and The Limit. I would first recomend trying it with a free domain before you move your main .com website to their servers just to try it out.

Also feel free to give me your opinion on this website or any other free webhosting websites. I would be very interested in knowing. So leave a comment below to give your opinion.

Newer and better domain names to hit the market!

Restrictions on domain names will soon be at a minimum as ICANN( The internet Corporation for Assigned names). The group decided for new guidelines that would allow new suffixes beyond the regular old .com, or .org.

This guideline is the biggest decision That has effected the internet in about 25 years. An example of these new websites would be .medic for health websites, or .xtreme for sports websites. Don’t expect these high quality domains to come cheap. These domains are expected to cost over an estimated one hundred thousand dollars per unique name. This is said to be in result of the high costs that ICANN will be paying out.

The whole point of this is to allow businesses to direct their domain name to the type of market they are in, and make it easier for their customers to realize what they are getting into when visiting a website.

Thanks
