Piczo Vs Freewebs!
It very popular thing to do now days is to have your own website, especially teenagers. Now the tough choice they have to make is weather to go for a Free one, or buy their own. Well a majority of them choose the free one. There are plenty of choices for them to choose out their but a majority of today’s youth will either choose between Piczo or FreeWebs. Today I am going to go through what each different free web host provides.
Piczo- Piczo is a great way to start if you have limited or no html knowledge, and is used by a good portion of the youth online today. They give you complete on site customizing using their browser based software or what they like to call “Page Editor”. I have found this software very easy to use, with html boxes just in case you want to add your own code to the site as well. They also allow you to use Google Adsense on your website if you are interested in monetizing your site. They also give you the option to add a Paypal button to your site if you are selling a product. Unfortunately in my opinion Piczo puts on allot of ads including the on page ads, and pop up ads. Piczo also lets you personalize your backgrounds, pictures, text, html, glitters, widgets, and much more. If i were to give Piczo a rating it would be a 8 out of 10.
FreeWebs- Freewebs is a little more different. They give you two options to either upload your website to their free web servers, or use one of their “very good looking” customized templates. Unlike Piczo they don’t exactly have a “Page Editor” where you can start from Scratch. They do however let you customize templates, and the graphics on the page. If i were to give Freewebs a mark it would be a 6 out of 10.
All together i would prefer to use Piczo over Freewebs, as they let beginner site designers create personalized websites with their own touch, and do not necessarily have to use one of Piczo’s templates. I do however like the fact that on Freewebs you are able to upload your site from website builders like Dreamweaver or Kompozer, both of which are very respected.
I hope i cleared things up for you today. If you have any questions related to this topic you can comment below or email me.
I recommend getting your own domain rather than dealing with paying $19.99 a year. It’s way cheaper(as much as 10 bucks cheaper). Getting your own domain also gives you options and allows you to use your own ideas rather than using Piczo’s tools.
Hi, I wrote to Piczo a couple of times recently regarding their upgrade where you can pay them $19.99 for a year then they give you a professional looking site and remove the ads . but they just reply by an automated email but don’t write any answers.
Do you know if they also remove the pop up ads as well as the on site ads if you go for the non free option?
So if you uploaded a website you made on dreamweaver on to free webs will you have to pay and how do you upload it?
PICZO OWNS just stop trying freewebs people
AND piczo is cheep and no premium account shit
like the premium account for freewebs if like $250 PER YEAR
i mean come on its not even that good!
Piczo is better for everything unless your trying to make a site is less then 5 mins and if thats the case just give up makeing a site at all
Piczo is a lil harder but its 10 million times more awsome
I’m sorry i don’t support that as Piczo is providing to you a free service. Placing ads is their main source of income. If Piczo didn’t put ads on your website, there would be no website. I don’t recommend you continue attempting to remove the ads. I’m sure you wouldn’t appreciate someone messing around with your site.
just contact me plz then if u know how cuz i wanna move them
how can i move the ads from my piczo
