Hmmm. Coincidentally, I also flew Air Canada Jazz and also had my luggage 'delayed'. I say delayed because I believe it wasn't lost, but merely put at the back of the line due to their long line up of "delayed" baggages. Due to their recent problems of cancelled and delayed flights through Canada, they had to scramble to move all the luggage and obviously, something happened and the entire backlog of luggage was up to a point where they can't put your luggage on the same flight since they were trying to get rid of those several flights earlier. That's likely why the majority of the passengers on the same flight also didn't get theirs either. The sad fact was confirmed for me when I went back to the airport to claim my "delayed" luggage that the guy ahead of me was told that his bag would not arrive on the same flight at his destination since his flight was delayed for several hours and it was the last flight out. He may miss his connecting flight and the check in lady told him to take the necessities out of his bag as he won't have it arrive in time. Sad, isn't it? My ordeal with Air Canada wasn't nearly as bad as others who were stuck on the tarmac for hours waiting to fly out of Vancouver. I was just stuck at the airport for several hours, after mistakenly told my flight was cancelled and go through panic to get the luggage back and contact the check in counter. I really hate Air Canada and they really have screwed it up this time as the Consumer Complaints board or whatever it's called got an enormous amount of calls about Air Canada.
