How To Give a Dog a Time Out
My dog decided she wanted to get some grub out of the garbage can earlier this morning. She ended up spreading her “morning snack” all over the floor. Rotton juice, old pancakes, and plenty of cardboard boxes were scattered all over the place. Usually she doesn’t do this, but today she decided it was time to annoy her master. Even worse, I feed her daily and even give her a couple milk bones. What a huge appetite she has.
Because of what she did this morning I decided that I should punish her by keeping her in the office with me all day. For the most part she was fine, except for the occasional bathroom breaks in which I had to escort her outside. But later in the afternoon she was determined to get out. She started scratching the door and nudging me to get out. How could I refuse to such a quite and polite dog.
In the end I let her out to go walk around the house. I guess I’ve clearly implied that she’s in charge of me and I have absolutely no authority over her. Maybe I’ll be a little more tougher on her next time.
