How To Get People to Click on Your Ads

Adsense is known to be a very easy way to make money, although in some cases it can be a tragedy waiting to happen. Some people just don’t get enough people clicking on their ads when they are visiting the site. Here are some tips on how to make the most out of your Google ads.

1- Put them in the right locations- This one is often overlooked by most bloggers or website owners. The placement of your ads will in the end determine how many clicks your ads will receive. A few of the best places spots to put your ads are in the header area, and on the left sidebar. If you are blogging, it is also a good idea to put them in between every 3-7 blog posts.

2- Make sure you have traffic- People assume that they are going to get clicks on their ads as soon as they are up and running. This unfortunately is not the case. Some people only get clicks every thousand or so page views. You need to keep a good, high and steady of traffic flow to your blog daily. As a side note i would also like to point out that it is not a good idea to be breaking the rules of Adsense, as i have been told they are extremely good at deciphering who and who’s not breaking the rules.

3- Stay on one topic throughout your blog. Lots of people overlook this point. If you have different topics all over the place, people will see ads all over the place. For example: My blog is on technology. If i made a post about gardening. I am oviously not going to get the “technology” traffic i was looking for. It’s Ok to have the occasional post off topic, i just don’t recommend making it a habit.

4-Don’t expect it to be your first source of income, as this could lead to future financial problems. I don’t recommend leaving your steady job to a wobbly income. If you do end up making it your first source of income make sure that you are making the big bucks before you make any kind-of decision as to where your Adsense career will lead you to.

Thats a few tips on how to get people to click on your ads. Don’t give up, and keep plucking away at it.
