I’ve been blogging online for about a year and a half now and it’s really been quite an amazing adventure. I’ve written tons of articles, over 300 as a matter of fact, and I must admit I’ve also made some cash off of advertising networks such as Google Adsense, Kontera Link-Advertising, and Amazon Affiliates. With an ever-so-evolving society, is it now to much for people to see advertisements on a website?

I wrote this post to ask you a similar question to the above related to my website. Do you think there are too many advertisements on Bradwelltv.com, both in-text and banner advertisements? I really feel it’s necessary to ask this question because I personally believe that –although the money from advertising is nice—that the community is essential to maintaining a healthy business online. Now, in no way am I suggesting that I terminate advertising throughout the website, but I’m asking if I should scale it down a certain extent.

I’ve also taken it upon myself to search for other revenue generating alternatives such as ReviewMe, and trying to develop more profitable keyword phrases within each article I write. In your opinion, are these an appropriate way to receive some sort of income as an online entrepreneur?

I’ve also taken a swing at advertising on Twitter, but unfortunately I had to many negative comments in relation to that, therefore, I decided to scrap the whole Idea. Also, Be-A-Magpie, which is the Twitter advertising service I used, was all over the place when it comes to consistency, and I was unable to gain a steady cash flow from them.

This brings me on to the question about the content I write. Lately, you’ve been seeing more product reviews, and opinions on the site. This was a way for me to attract search engine traffic to a greater extent. Also, before that, I stuck to opinions on companies and new websites. I must admit that I definitely enjoyed doing those types of articles, but the pay coming out of them was just to low.

So this all leads me to ask you (the community) a few questions and I hope you’ll put an honest opinion forward. Are there too many advertisements on this site? What type of content attracts you to a website, possibly even causing you to subscribe? What methods do you use to generate money online? What other recommendations do you have for me? I’d be really interested to hear about what you guys think so please feel free to leave a comment below.
