How Do You Get Your Online Entertainment?
The future of entertainment in my opinion is the internet. With websites now streaming live feed all the time, now television networks are getting in on the deal. Online entertainment has even gone as far as to people buying a webcam and creating their own channel on free streaming networks. So that leaves the question. How do you get your online entertainment? Well I’ve come up with a top 5 list of some of the most popular entertainment sources on the internet. Here we go.
1-Youtube- Everyone uses Youtube. Why? Because it’s instant gratification. It allows you to watch what you want when you want. With just about any Genre of video, Youtube as we all know is the most popular video hosting website on the internet. The only downside about Youtube is that you cannot watch network TV shows, due to copyright infringement. Still, Youtube allows everyone around the world to broadcast their happiest moments, and even their most embarrassing moments.
2-Ustream- The reason i chose Ustream and not Stickam, Justin.tv etc is because i feel that Ustream offers more of a “Tv Show interface”. For example: They have Nasa’s Space Vidcast on Ustream which is essentially a space channel. Also radio shows tend to broadcast their program on Ustream. Why they choose Ustream? They use Ustream because it has a more professional look and field, and it tends to focus on a more mature audience. Ustream.tv is definitely a great source for live online entertainment.
3-Revision3- If you haven’t heard of Revision3, well you’ve been missing out. Revision3 is the next generation of television which is the online generation. Yes Revision3 is a television station that broadcasts over the internet. With popular shows like Diggnation and Tekzilla, Revision3 has been growing ever since it’s official launch in 2005. With Revision 3 you never have to leave your computer to watch live streaming television. Revision3 in my opinion is definitely the future of television.
4-Online Radio- As most of you probably already know, a great portion of radio stations in the world have made the smart decision of either to switch or broadcast simultaneously on the internet. If you go to shoutcast.com you will see thousands of online streaming internet radio stations. Talk about radio at your fingertips. Online radio allows you to get the music you want when you want without paying a dime.
5-Podcasting- Podcasting has become very popular in this day in age. Podcasting is an mp3 file that you can listen to whenever you want. With podcasting you don’t have to listen to a radio station talk show at the designated time. You are free to choose when and how you want to listen to a podcast. Podcasting is the new source of online audio entertainment, and in most cases is free to listen to.
