How to Save Money by Shopping Online!

The holiday season is fast approaching… OK maybe it’s still over a month away but now is the time to get all those gifts for that thirty page list. With the financial crunch North America is facing right now, we need things to be cheap now more than ever. Well I’ve found a great new site that can save you hundreds of dollars by shopping online..

It’s called Coupons, and what it does is allow you to search coupons throughout North America. Whether it’s for a new computer, or some flowers for your wife they have something for everything. Coupons makes it easy for you to search by dividing their coupon search into three categories including choosing by store, by category, or by keyword. Then you can choose whether you want coupons from today, yesterday, last 7 days, last 30 days, or any day. After that you can click the button that says “Click Here To Create A Search Feed”

Once you click, you will be taken to an RSS feed that shows a list of the coupons that you have selected. People have saved hundreds of dollars using this form, and with hundreds of stores giving coupons away you can be sure that you’ll find one for your particular need.

How to Convert Youtube Videos into Different File Formats.

Have you ever wanted to download a video that you’re watching on Youtube? I know i have, and today I’ve found a website that can do just that and more. It’s called convertmytube.com, and what it allows you to do is enter the desired URL of the Youtube video you wish to download. Then you choose from a variety of different file formats you wish to convert your video to including AVI, MOV, MP4, 3GP, MP3, WAV, WMV, or and Flv. Yes you can also convert it to Mp3, or WAV which is an audio format that you can listen to.

Once you are finished that you click convert. It will then go to a separate screen showing you the status of the video you are downloading. Be aware though that this will take a few minutes depending on the length of the video, and the format the video originally was. Once it’s complete it will give you the two options of going back, or downloading.

That’s it! It’s that simple. If you have any websites similar to this please feel free to email me by clicking here. I love hearing what you guys have to say about interesting technologies, and websites available in the market. Also feel free to make your opinion heard by leaving a comment below.

How to Convert A PDF to a Word Document!

I was stumbling through Stumbleupon today when i found an interesting new website that allows you to convert PDF( Portable Document Format) Documents to a Word Document. It’s called convertpdftoword.net and the name says it all. All you have to do is go to the website and you’ll see a text box with a browse button next to it. Hit the Browse button and choose the file that you require to convert(make sure it’s a PDF File). Once you finished that all you have to do is click “Convert and Download”.

If you’re unsure what a PDF is i have a small bit of information about it from Wikipedia below:

Portable Document Format (PDF) is a file format created by Adobe Systems in 1993 for document exchange. PDF is used for representing two-dimensional documents in a manner independent of the application software, hardware, and operating system.[1]

Each PDF file encapsulates a complete description of a fixed-layout 2-D document (and, with Acrobat 3-D, embedded 3-D documents) that includes the text, fonts, images, and 2-D vector graphics which comprise the documents.

PDF is an open standard that was officially published on July 1, 2008 by the ISO as ISO 32000-1:2008.

How To Turn Your Computer into A Clipboard

There’s an interesting new website now available that lets you clip URL links, text, photos, videos or essentially anything that has a file to a website and then open them in a different place, time, and setting. It’s called cl1p.net and it’s quite useful when trying to save stuff for later. Let me explain it a little clearer.

All you have to do is enter the Clip.net URL in the text box they’ve provided and then add a sub URL to the link. Then click “Show My Cl1p”, after that it will bring you to a different web page including a text editor with various options on the side. You use that text editor to create the file that you would like to view at a later date. As i mentioned earlier you can also upload virtually any file to the text editor, along with a zoom feature and other various options. After you have completed your task you can exit the window(don’t forget your URL).

Cl1p is very useful for sharing various files such as photos, video, and/or even text documents. You can also choose to create an account which really doesn’t give you any advantage on the website other than the ability to keep track of clips etc. As you’ve seen above, this website is very difficult to describe. So if you would like to learn more for yourself you can visit it here..

If you have any interesting websites that you’d like to share with the community, please feel free to email me by clicking here. You may also leave a comment below to share your opinion on this website or other similar websites.

Where Do I Get My Technology News From?

There are plenty of technology news sites throughout the internet now days that are usually dedicated towards one topic within the technology industry ie: Profiling, Hacking. These websites have been successful for the most part but they really don’t show whats happening in other areas of the technology field. Well that’s all about to change.

I’ve recently developed a new website that uses writers from all over the world to express what technology news is being identified from their particular geographical location. Here is a little more information on Kaploop according to their website:

Kaploop is a collaborative website bringing technology related news stories to one location from worldwide sources. Kaploop’s goal is to constantly provide news with technology relations to the general public through the Internet. Whether it’s about new websites, ideas, or businesses, you will get it first from us. Writers are being invited from all over the world to provide information in a non-opinionated, informal, and non-prejudicial manner.

Kaploop First started November 13, 2008 as an undiscriminated idea by Brad Roberts, who is otherwise known as Bradley Bradwell. Roberts has been maintaining his own professional Blog since early 2008, consisting of information related to common technological, and internet struggles.

Kaploop is also looking for writers that have a passion for technology and how it affects the world. We are trying to build a confident group of writers that are willing to spread the news of whats happening in the world of technology. Here is a bit of information on what happens when you apply to be a writer.

Kaploop is always looking for writers. Whether you have an English degree, or have successful passed grade school English classes we have a spot for you. Kaploop brings you great exposure to the technology/journalism community by your articles and posts. We at Kaploop have created our system so that the author of ones article is viewed by incoming visitors. Although Kaploop at this time isn’t offering payment due to incoming funds, we are working on implementing this idea in the future.

When you are accepted into the Kaploop community you get.

  • A Kaploop.com Publisher account where you can edit your profile and publish stories related to technology.
  • An @kaploop.com email where you can connect to your readers and contacts within the technology community. This email will also allow you to use Gtalk with your fellow Kaploop writers.
  • A Kaploop.com Calendar where you can share and edit your Calendars with the Kaploop community.
  • Possible Pay. This will not be happening until we receive the funding needed.
  • Access to a personalized account with Google Docs, and Sites.
  • Plus additional goodies and Kaploop paraphernalia.
  • Occasional Deals with shopping throughout the internet.

It’s extremely easy to apply for Kaploop. However, you must have basic knowledge of proper grammar and English. You must also be familiar with technology happenings in your area and/or around the world. You must also use Spell Checking tools, plus additional grammatical software. You must not plagiarize, or take work from others without their authority. If you take small bits and pieces out of others work you must use quotes and apply the appropriate credit. Basic knowledge of html is recommended ie: how to embed images. Once you sign up and are accepted we will provide you with more information on what’s required in your services.

If you’re interested in taking a look at Kaploop feel free to visit the website. If you are interested in becoming a writer click here.

How to Create A Social Network For Free!

We have all heard of the big name social networks such as Myspace, Facebook, and all the rest of them. But i bet you’ve never heard that you can build your very own for free. Using the power of Ning.com you can customize your very own social network and use it to bring communities, groups, and friends together in one place.

All you have to do is sign up, and create a social network by entering the name and web address you would like to use. If you need to use your own domain you must pay a fee along with various other features. After that it’s easy as drag and drop, literally. When building the network you have three colums in which you can drop various additions to your social network including photo’s, forum’s, groups, videos, blogs, and much more. However they do have limitations on how much can be uploaded to their servers. For example: I believe that you’re only allowed to have 500 pictures in total on your network unless you pay a fee.

Ning also allows you to customize how your social network looks, and feels. You can edit the header, information, and even the CSS. People have also gone as far as making Ning their own by paying extra fee’s so they can make the social network a part of their community. An example of this would be Chris’s social network.

Ning is becoming very popular, so you may be interested in starting your own Social Network before names start running out. If you would like to join our social network you can do so by clicking here. If you have your own social network using the ning platform i would be happy to join. Feel free to post your link to your social network below.
