The holiday season is fast approaching… OK maybe it’s still over a month away but now is the time to get all those gifts for that thirty page list. With the financial crunch North America is facing right now, we need things to be cheap now more than ever. Well I’ve found a great new site that can save you hundreds of dollars by shopping online..
It’s called Coupons, and what it does is allow you to search coupons throughout North America. Whether it’s for a new computer, or some flowers for your wife they have something for everything. Coupons makes it easy for you to search by dividing their coupon search into three categories including choosing by store, by category, or by keyword. Then you can choose whether you want coupons from today, yesterday, last 7 days, last 30 days, or any day. After that you can click the button that says “Click Here To Create A Search Feed”
Once you click, you will be taken to an RSS feed that shows a list of the coupons that you have selected. People have saved hundreds of dollars using this form, and with hundreds of stores giving coupons away you can be sure that you’ll find one for your particular need.

I’ve had my Twitter account for about a year now. It’s gone through it’s tough times, but in the end has been a very reliable service in terms of getting my content noticed. Well i was following some Tweets yesterday from other Twitter members when i came across a website that can make you money by just sending a Twitter.
Here is how it works:
Advertisers create campaigns providing a message and some keywords.
Matching twitterers are selected, costs are calculated based on # of followers and hotness of the topic.
Ads will be blended into the message stream: 5 tweets, one ad, 5 tweets, one ad, …
I’ve been using it for just under 24 hours and have made about 4 dollars. The amount of money you make depends on how many followers you have. So it’s really essential that you have a ton of followers to be able to use this tool effectively.
With Be-A-Magpie you can choose that the service shows an add every 1,3,5,10,15, or 20 tweets. Once you have over 50 Euros in your account you may choose to cash out. This can all happen very quickly if you are fairly popular on Twitter.
Be-A-Magpie also gives you a really simple user interface with just 3 tabs. These tabs include Start, Settings, and Account. All of which give you a detailed analysis on what is happening within your account. I should also point out that the Currency Magpie uses is Euros, and they require a billing address, unless you are using Paypal.
So if you want to make money with Twitter you can sign up now or follow my Twitter for more information.

Beth Kanter took the stage today making a speech about using social media for good. Beth is a trainer, consultant, and blogger. She is an expert in using technology tools.
At the beginning she talked about twitter. She asked her followers how much they thought Twitter was worth, and how Twitter as a tool got people to comment on one of her Flikr photo’s. So basically she was explaining a network effect or a rapid word of mouth.
What she started talking about is how she raised money using technology tools to support disadvantaged children in Cambodia. She has raised 43 000 dollars from donations, and won 15 000 dollars. She has fund raised over 200 000 dollars for her charity.
To the point she was explaining how she could raise money using tools like Twitter, Facebook, and other network/technology tools.
So basically she was going through how we could use the internet to help others in foreign countries and give others a better life. She goes into great detail with this speech. If you are interested in viewing her speech right now you can go to live.pirillo.com. If you would like to know more about the Gnomedex conference you can visit their website.
Thank you.

Have you ever wondered how much your website is really worth? Maybe it’s more or less than you expected. Well i have found the answer to that. I found out by using a website called dnscoop.
What Dnscoop does is takes the number of links directing to your website, the age of the website, the page rank of your website, the traffic rank of the website, how many sites are hosted on the same IP address, and the link value to determine the total estimate value of your website. They also provide you with an embeddable tool to brag about the price of your website.
You can also search other websites to see what they are worth. For example: I found that Techrunch’s site can be worth around nine million dollars, and that Chris Pirillo’s Website is worth around two million. It’s really interesting to know how much websites are worth, or if they are worth anything at all.
Dnscoop also provides a marketplace where you can buy and sell domains. They have the listing and the price they are asking beside it. It is really quite an interesting website and there is allot to learn from it. One thing i learned is how many links i have leading to my website which is only about 600. I could definatly improve on that.

A couple of days ago i came accross a free hosting website called 000hosting, and assumed it was going to be one of those spammy crap web hosts. Therefore i neglected it and moved on. The next day (yesterday) i came across it again. This time i thought “Why not try it?”. So i did and i was to my delight presently surprised. Most of the features that came with the account are features you would expect to find on a major web hosting companies plan.
Here are a few of the features this free web hosting comes with.
- Disk space of 250 Megabytes
- 100 Gigabytes of Bandwidth
- Unlimited domains allowed
- A pretty good control panel
- No company advertising
- The ability to ad your own ads
- Website Builder
- PHP Scripts auto installer
- Unrestricted PHP Support
- My SQL Database
- Instant backups
- FTP Support
- Web file managing
- 99.9 percent up time
- Instant activation
- Email including Pop 3 accounts, Web mail, Auto responders, Spam Protection, Mail forwarding, Imap Support, Modify MX Entry.

Again this is surprising to find throughout the internet. New up and coming websites are being displayed using 000’s servers including Xurba, and The Limit. I would first recomend trying it with a free domain before you move your main .com website to their servers just to try it out.
Also feel free to give me your opinion on this website or any other free webhosting websites. I would be very interested in knowing. So leave a comment below to give your opinion.

This has become a major problem in allot of countries. ISP’s (Internet Service Providers) seem to be ripping off their costumers. By this i am saying that the companies are falsely advertising their products internet speed, then when you get the internet it’s slower than expected.
A way you can tell if your internet speed is not at the correct right is by going to speedtest.net. Once you are on, you should see a whole bunch of pyramids. Click the one closest to your current location, and the speed tester will test the download speed, and the upload speed.
After it has completed it will show you the results. Go to your Internet Service Providers website and look at their advertised speed. Then compare what you got on speed test and your ISP. Before i go, i should add in that it is not an exact measurement and could potentially be minimally incorrect. Also when selecting a pyramid, try and select the closest one as possible, so you can get a more accurate reading.
I hope this helped.
