Create Multimedia Scrapbooks for Free!
filed in websites on Aug.22, 2008
It’s so old school to make scrapbooks out of paper and pictures. Or at least that’s what it was. Now there is a new multimedia utility out there that allows you to take photo’s and videos together to create a scrapbook online.
It’s called Scrapblog, and what it allows you to do is create multimedia scrapbooks in three easy steps by grabbing or uploading your photos, then mixing your photo’s and videos with a load of creative elements, and then share them with family, friends or colleagues.
Great, how do i get started? Well once you have made it to the Scrapblog homepage you click on get started. Once you do that a new window will open and give you to nonidentical options including the option of starting with a theme(which is still very versatile), or you have the option of starting from scratch on a blank piece.
Once you choose you will have the options of adding photos, stickers, backgrounds, text & balloons, shapes, video, frames, and much more. On the right side you will see that they also have copy, cut, and paste buttons, along with an undo and redo button. They also give you the option to move your media forward in front of other media or behind other media. In simpler terms you would call this a layer effect.
Once your done you can look to the top of the screen to either save, publish, or share your content. By doing this you are going to need to get “yet another account” with Scrapblog. This online program really takes allot of tinkering around to figure everything out, but i think it does have some potential to be a great “free” backup to Photoshop or Paintshop Pro.
If you have any other interesting websites that you know of out there, please email me or comment below. I love to here all of your opinions on the latest and greatest products out there, whether it’s with photo’s or just any other website out there.
Thanks, Brad
